Meltdown

Since the 1980's Meltdown have worked
exclusively within the Christian hard music scene in the UK and in that time we
have discovered that it can be hard to find a suitable band for a planned
event or festival. This band directory is a small resource aimed at helping you
find the band you may be looking for. Because the Meltdown ministry is centred
around hard, heavy and alternative music, we rarely book a band for a Meltdown
stage who do not fall into a hard music category. However, some bands who are of
a "lighter" style have asked to be included in this directory. In order to
prevent confusion we have decided to use this mark
HM
for bands who we consider to be suitable for
classification as a hard music band and are therefore more likely to be found
performing on a Meltdown stage.
We also wish to make it clear that inclusion in this list is not an indication that Meltdown endorse or recommend the ministry of the included band. It simply means that the band listed consider themselves to be a Christian band and have either asked to be included or have been included by Meltdown because we have personally experienced their ministry on one of our stages.

My Spoon
: Manchester UK
The Manchester rock three-piece MY SPOON have achieved an extraordinary amount for an independent band without the promotional muscle or the finance of a record company behind them. With a sizeable, and still growing, support base, a highly praised album 'Love Stories And Lies' and storming appearances at numerous Christian festivals things look good for the outfit. The band, now full time, are winning new fans wherever they play with a sound described as Rage Against The Machine meets Busted…These guys have all the ingredients to turn an average gig into a memorable night, a simple song into a long lasting sing-a-long, a gathering of people into a party, and a rock show into a ROCK SHOW! Check them out at a show near you and you'll see what we mean. Myspace: www.myspace.com/myspoon Website: www.passthespoon.com |
